Upper-Int 2- B2 First Exam (FCE)

Dear Parents,

Your children will also be sitting the Cambridge B2 First exam, formerly known as FCE, this summer after IGCSE.

The Cambridge B2 First is a well-respected qualification that is recognized worldwide. It is an important qualification for students to have, especially those who may wish to study in the European Union following Brexit.

Therefore, the B2 First complements the more traditional IGCSE which is requested by universities in the UK and Cyprus. We firmly believe that our students should obtain both the B2 First and IGCSE.

The Cambridge B2 First exams are in June and preparation will follow upon completion of the IGCSE exams.

Why your child should take the B2 First?

1. The B2 First provides the best preparation for IELTS which is required by every university all over the world. The exam strategies are the same. Even if the students are going to Greece for their initial studies, they will need the IELTS further along, and the B2 First gives them the best possible training.
2. Having just studied for the IGCSE the students’ will be thoroughly prepared as their fluency in English will still be fresh.
3. Unlike the IELTS, the B2 First exams are valid for life.
4. Succeeding in the B2 First exam has 2 distinct advantages: it is accepted world-wide by employers, universities and government bodies AND it provides thorough preparation for the IELTS exam and the Greek Pancyprian pre university exams should it be requested.
5. It is targeted at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference and is highly prestigious and well-respected not only in the European countries but all over the world.

Αυτό το καλοκαίρι μετά το IGCSE τα παιδιά σας θα παρακολουθήσουν επίσης τις εξετάσεις του Cambridge Β2 First (FCE).

Η εξέταση αυτή είναι ένα σεβαστό προσόν που αναγνωρίζεται παγκοσμίως. Είναι σημαντικό να το έχουν οι φοιτητές, ειδικά εκείνοι που μπορεί να επιθυμούν να σπουδάσουν στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση μετά το Brexit.

Επομένως, η εξέταση Β2 First συμπληρώνει το πιο παραδοσιακό IGCSE που ζητείται από πανεπιστήμια στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την Κύπρο. Πιστεύουμε ακράδαντα ότι οι μαθητές μας πρέπει να αποκτήσουν τόσο το B2 First όσο και το IGCSE.

Οι εξετάσεις B2 First είναι τον Ιούνιο και η προετοιμασία θα ακολουθήσει μετά την ολοκλήρωση των εξετάσεων IGCSE.

Γιατί το παιδί σας να αποκτήσει το πτυχίο Cambridge First Certificate in English;

1. Η εξέταση B2 First παρέχει την καλύτερη προετοιμασία για το IELTS που απαιτείται από κάθε πανεπιστήμιο σε όλο τον κόσμο. Οι στρατηγικές των εξετάσεων είναι οι ίδιες.
